Unless you’re able to look at marriage through the lens of Scripture instead of through your own fears or romanticism, through your particular experience, or through your culture’s narrow perspectives, you won’t be able to make intelligent decisions about your own marital future.Timothy Keller, The Meaning of Marriage (via ashleymarieholt)
If I have given my heart to Christ, then what right do I have to say what He should do with it? If I am to give Him this soul, should I not be blessed if He wills to break it and change it? I should spend no less than all my days praising Him for the pain; for when Christ breaks our hearts, He does it so that we might be holy as He is holy.
So praise Him; even through the pain.T.B. LaBerge // Go Now (via tblaberge)
God is shaping us, even in our doubts.
That’s what God does though, He takes us to the brink until we are shattered, then He picks us up and rebuilds us. It is a sweet breaking, one that leaves us more dependent than ever, but more loved and cherished than we thought.
I am learning to praise God, even when He is silent; what a blessing it is.
If I must choose, I would have kindness over intellect; give me a heart that loves, over a mind that thinks.T.B. LaBerge // Things I’m learning at 25 (via tblaberge)
